Plugins for Firefox
#1 Ad Block Plus
I can't live without ABP. This plugin effectively blocks ads from common offenders such as doubleclick.net and blocks ad like objects such as long thin banners. It has a auto list of the USA, subscribe to that and nearly every ad is gone! (you can also right click and manually block ads) Click here to goto the adblock plus page Click here to add to firefox ------------------------------------------- #2 LongURL Mobile Expander Ever been on a web page or an email and seen something like http://tinurl.com/(something). Well, This has happened to me before, I've clicked the link and its taken me to a porn site! LongURL will analyze links from many short url services and tell you the real url! goto the longurl mobile expander page click here to add to firefox ------------------------------------------- #3 Tab Mix Plus TMP is an amazing plugin that greatly improves the tab function on firefox. With TMP you can setup rows of tabs (for when you have 200 tabs). There is also a nice function to change the text style on a tab when it changes a page or updates so u know when you need to read new information. it can also display progress bars on tabs and lock tabs to prevent closing Tab Mix Plus page Add to Firefox ------------------------------------------- #4 Cooliris (Windows Only) Cooliris simply blew me away when I tried it. This plugin intregreats with many websites such as Google images, Facebook, PhotoBucket ect... and can display a 3D "wall" of images across many pages. Cooliris is based around XML and if your site is not popular or the cooliris team don't know about it, a simple 5 minuet setup will generate a XML file to enable cooliris users to view your site with a fancy wall! Click here to goto the cooliris page Click here to add cooliris to firefox ![]() ------------------------ Need some help? RE: Essental Firefox stuff
Add the following to the list:
Web Developer Toolbar Gives you hundreds of commands for modifying the way the browser displays a page on the fly. Instantly load up all the page's javascript or CSS. List off every link, or every image on a page. Edit an html page to see how some code would change it. All this and more! Download Statusbar Display downloads at the bottom of your browser window. No more changing over to the downloads window to check, it's all displayed right there for you. I haven't included links, because firefox's addon section now comes with its own search bar, making it easier to grab extensions d

RE: Essental Firefox stuff
Web Developer Toolbar looks nice and reccomend that too:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/60 However, download statusbar would be annoying for me because I am usally downloading very large files or tiny files that I unzip or open in a few seconds. Those large downloads are usally ones overnight ![]() ------------------------ Need some help? Email: mark at markdain dot net MSN: same as email address Skype: simkinggold |

RE: Essental Firefox stuff
With the statusbar, you can still opt to open up the downloads window instead, and close the main firefox window. Downloads show up on the bottom of your current firefox window, and to open the file you just double click on the little download bar where the file was. It works better than the download window for opening quick small things, in my opinion.

This handy tool allows you to look at source in peices and see the effect of what would happen if you changed code / inserted code! Great tool for developers https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1843 ![]() ------------------------ Need some help?
